In the Pacific, climate change, natural hazards and environmental degradation are ever-present threats, undermining, livelihoods, security and human rights. Pacific peoples are determined to build their resilience, adapt to, as well as mitigate their growing realities to protect their land and homes. Focusing on people centred and integrated solutions.
We have undertaken the following projects in this area:

November 2019 – May 2020. Consultant to assist in facilitating consultations in Kiribati, Vanuatu, Marshall Islands for the Women’s Resilience to Disasters Programme. Client: UN Women

November 2018- January 2019 Developed a programme of study for the national certificate in resilience (DRR and CCA) Level 1 Client: Ministry of Youth and Sports (Fiji)
October- November, 2018 Design and facilitation of a lessons-learned workshop Client: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)
September 2018 - February 2019 and March 2020.. Designed and led a Green Enterprise development training and mentoring programme. This also included the development of a guide to Green Business for Fiji, Vanuatu and Kiribati. Client: Global Green Growth Institute, Fiji
February - May 2017 Supported initial consultations in Tonga, Samoa, Kiribati and Tuvalu and the development of a Year 1 workplan for a Climate Ready, a climate finance project. Client: AECOM
June – November 2016 Blurb: Research to support a review of the New Zealand Government’s Aid Programme from a socially-inclusive, resilient development perspective with a particular focus on Kiribati and Tuvalu. Client: John Hay and Associate
